yeah guys, as said above, the 16 in hammer and the use of an ias makes up a bit for the fact that it only uses 3 skills. and yes, you can swap out the adren boost skill for a fourth attack, maybe ib or whatever else you like.

I won't bother posting my build because you aren't an elementalist secondary.. but I'll say this. The biggest advantage of hammers is.. *drum roll* KNOCK DOWNS!

If you realize this, you also realize there's absolutely no reason you shouldn't have Counter Blow on your skillbar, at all times. (PvE)

As for weapon mods, Vampiric just makes your damage go higher. Why not take it? Switch weapons when you get out of the fight, get blinded, etc.

My favorite chain is Devastating->Crushing->Fierce Blow, which I am apalled that no one has even mentioned. Fierce blow will give you the highest damage out of any hammer attack, but you need Weakness on the enemy to fullfill it. Devastating Hammer gives the opponent weakness. I don't go so much for damage on my hammer warrior as spammable knock downs, so I take Hammer Bash and Shock (ele skill) also.

As for w/mo.. well you can take Mending Touch as someone suggested, or use Stonesoul/Holy Strike. I wouldn't use back breaker. I'd rather use the spells after seperate KDs than waste my elite. Spiking in PvE? Uh.. generally not too useful.

If you really don't need spike, then try

Enraged Smash
Counter Blow
Flail
Rush
Staggering Blow
Lion's Comfort
Rez Signet
To the Limit

Something like that, just spam Enraged Smash and use Flail (I used Frenzy, but bleh).

spiking is a large amount of damage in a short time

pressure is damage over time, like poison, bleeding, continous attacks

sorry, forgot you dont have factions yet. ok when you do get it, plug in fierce, its probably the best fit here, but there are alternatives. you could simply plug in counter or ib into the 3rd attack spot instead of the 4th. if you still want to take advantage of the weakness you put on with devastating hammer, overbearing smash and heavy blow could work. you might also want to think of one that isnt dependent on weakness, you know in case devastating doesnt hit. maybe another kd like hammer bash or bull strike so you can still land the crushing blow without having to wait for devastating to charge again.
